To ensure your battery storage lasts throughout loadshedding, it is recommended that you reduce your consumption to a minimum if the power is out and the sun isn’t shining.
Although this battery has a rating of 5kWh, it is recommended that it does not get discharged below 80% of its capacity. As a result, you can expect to have 4kWh of stored electricity available to you during loadshedding, if the battery is fully charged.
You’ll also want to consider the expected length of the round of loadshedding so you can make sure your batteries last for the duration.
2 hours of loadshedding = 2kWh of battery storage per hour
4 hours of loadshedding = 1kWh of battery storage per hour
