The 12kW inverter is designed to power the majority of a medium-sized household’s essential loads with occasional use of high power consumers.

You can also use one or two of these high consuming appliances at a time if the power being drawn by your essential loads is low:

The 12kW inverter is not designed to power high-consumption appliances and can be damaged if overloaded.
Our solar experts will discuss your essential loads with you during the site visit and FREE consultation, but you should expect to have the following appliances excluded for your solar system.
- Geyser
- Stove
- Oven
- Tumble dryer
To ensure your battery storage lasts throughout power outages, it is recommended that you reduce your consumption to a minimum if the sun isn’t shining and your solar system is not generating electricity. You should also avoid using any of your high power consuming appliances.
Although this battery has a rating of 15kWh, it is recommended that it does not gets discharged below 80% of its capacity. As a result, you can expect to have 12kWh of stored electricity available to you during power outages, if the battery is fully charged.
You’ll also want to consider the expected length of the round of outages so you can make sure your batteries last for the duration.
2 hours of outages = 6kWh of battery storage per hour
4 hours of outages = 3kWh of battery storage per hour
